Engagement at a Glance

TeenPact is a nationally recognized nonprofit with a long history of developing young leaders and engaging students in civic education through immersive, faith-informed experiences.

A few of the outcomes from our engagement:

  • Prepared their team for internal hires to further bolster their development department
  • Defined the executive game plan for an experienced CEO new to fundraising
  • Provided real-time marketing and fundraising expertise during their end-of-year season

The Challenge

TeenPact had an existing fundraising system that was working. They knew their donors, monitored the vital statistics, and had a team in place. So why reach out to us?

They wanted an outside perspective on the health of their fundraising ecosystem before heading into a new season of change and opportunity.

They needed clarity, accountability, and practical guidance to ensure the executive, marketing, and fundraising staff remained in full alignment.

The Solution

Our engagement focused on helping TeenPact’s CEO and development director build a game plan for existing and future roles.

We structured our work together for both consistency and flexibility. This means communication happened via 2 predictable cadences:

  • A monthly strategy call to track progress, discuss challenges, and identify key relationships to cultivate over the next month.
  • Unlimited audio communication throughout the month to keep the conversation going with real-time access to a team of seasoned marketers and fundraisers.

Our conversations covered hiring, internal alignment, in-person donor visits, major donor cultivation, the art of the ask, nuanced elements of building relationships with high-net-worth donors, and more.

In many cases, this engagement acted as the “phone-a-fundraiser” in the back pocket of their fundraising team who requested insight and advice to complement their day-to-day activities and decisions.

The Results

Our work together prioritized both relational and revenue-focused goals to equip their development and executive team to achieve sustained success over the long term.

In this next season, it’s absolutely crucial for the executive team to know exactly how their limited time can best serve the development team and donor community who make the vital work of TeenPact possible.

Here are a few of the highlights and wins:

  • Prepared their team for internal hires to further bolster their development department
  • Defined the executive game plan for an experienced CEO new to fundraising
  • Provided real-time marketing and fundraising expertise during their end-of-year season

Meet The Strategic Fundraising Plan

We know how important it is for nonprofits to have a strategic plan and approach to their fundraising. The problem is they often don’t know where to start.

Our Strategic Fundraising Plan, the same one used by The Gathering Markit (TGM), comes with 3 options:

  1. A DIY Template
  2. A DIY Template and Coaching
  3. A Custom Solution

TGM opted for the DIY template to get going, which requires a little more time and effort, but less upfront investment.
